Mesevilág Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Mesevilág is a mobile app developed and published by Nagy Tamás Dávid, Hungary ("we", "us"). For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Nagy Tamás Dávid is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

The app is no longer being developed and is not available for new downloads on Google Play.

2. Information We Collect

• Account data: If you register or sign in, the app creates an account with Google Firebase Authentication using your email address and password, or your Google account. A user record is stored in Google Cloud Firestore containing your user ID, email address, display name, profile photo URL (if your Google account has one) and the date the account was created.
• Technical data: The app uses Firebase Performance Monitoring and Firebase Remote Config. These services process technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, an app instance identifier and performance timings, so the app can be configured and its performance measured. Like any network request, your IP address is processed by Google when the app connects.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not show advertising and the app uses no advertising network.
• We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
• The app has no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
• The app does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.

4. How We Use the Data

Account data is used only to let you sign in and keep you signed in. Technical data is used only to configure the app and to monitor its stability and performance. The legal basis is the performance of the service you asked for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in keeping the app working (Article 6(1)(f)).

5. Service Providers

• Google (Firebase): Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC provides Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Performance Monitoring and Remote Config as our processor. Data may be processed outside the EEA under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Mesevilág contains stories intended for children, but the account features are meant to be used by a parent or guardian. Children should not create an account themselves. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. To delete your account and all associated data, email us from the address you registered with, or tell us the email address used; we will delete the Firebase account and the Firestore user record within 30 days and confirm by email. Uninstalling the app removes data stored on your device.

Because the app is being retired, all remaining account data will be deleted when the app's backend is shut down.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and export your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Hungary this is the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH, naih.hu).

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
